Canon to sell remanufactured MFPs in Middle East

AMEInfo reported that the OEM has decided to respond to the “increasing demand for cost-effective and sustainable” printing with four remanufactured versions of it’s “best-selling” A3 MFPs, including the imageRUNNER 3025Ne, 3045Ne, 5065NE (all monochrome) and iRC3580 (colour).

The machines are said by the OEM to have been remanufactured at a “unique” factory in Glessen, Germany, with devices remanufactured using up to 93 percent of existing components, thereby, according to Canon, “minimising the need for new resources and reducing carbon dioxide emissions”, as well as making it possible to “offer the new range of products at price that is up to 60 percent lower than devices” manufactured using new components.

The OEM went on to note that it’s device remanufacturing programme “gives used devices a second life” through it’s process, where they are “disassembled to the bare frame level” before being “extensively checked and cleaned” before being rebuilt “ using existing and new parts”, with all wearing parts “replaced with new ones regardless of their condition to guarantee performance”, and each manchine updated to “comply with the latest quality standards and legal regulations.”

The devices are said to also be “equivalent in appearance quality and warranty protection to a compltely new device”, meaning customers “ don’t need to compromise on cost or environmental responsiblility”.
